Designed For Remote Probe Locations
A heavier built probe designed for high volume locations and the constant use required by the ethanol industry. The Shuttle II is a taller unit - 14', has a longer boom reach - 9' to 14 1/2', longer sample head - 9', uses replaceable bearing at all the wear points, and has the same 'operator friendly' features as our standard Shuttle Probe.
Standard Features:
Replaceable Bearings at All Wear Points - The Shuttle II uses oil-impregnated bronze bearing instead of roller bearing. With bronze bearing, we gain more surface wear area than a ball bearing and they better handle the shock load of being continually jammed in to a load of grain.
All the Shuttle II bearings are replaceable and can be greased.9ft. Pneumatic Sampling - The longer 9 ft. sample head makes it easy to reach to the bottom of semi's, and is still the quickest and most accurate method of sampling grain. No moving parts, no grain damage caused by the opening and closing of the probe doors.
Our Pneumatic Stinger works on air flow, and only draws in what is forced up in the tip.Low Pressure Hydraulics - Too much hydraulic power, especially on aluminum trailers, makes it that much easier to damage and poke holes in the trailer.
Our Shuttle Probes can generate about 700 lbs of down pressure, but from experience we have learned that 200 to 300 lbs of down pressure more than enough to probe to the bottom of a semi hopper (see Automatic Sampling).
Our hydraulic system pressure is set to a maximum of 750psi compared to the 1200 to 1500psi with other probes.Air Craft Hydraulic Oil - Provides excellent cold weather operation and eliminates the need for a hydraulic tank heater.
Free Turning Design - When a truck leaves too soon, the probe stinger is free swinging and the mast assembly will free turn side to side with out damaging the turn chain, turn motor, etc. You can go right back to probing trucks. No shear pins or chains and sprockets to repair.
Automatic Sampling - Besides saving time, our automatic sampling feature is pressure sensitive. Once activated, the probe lowers itself into the truck, and when it reaches 200-300 lbs of down pressure (adjustable), it will then raise itself back up, out of the load, all hands free.
Self-Contained Design - All hydraulic, vacuum, and electrical components are located in the probe base.
Beside being a cleaner design, it helps to protect the hoses & wiring from damage and weathering.Extendable Boom - 5 1/2 ft. extendable boom telescopes from 9' to 14 1/2'.
Dual Flood Lights - Probe is equipped with 2 flood lights for night time use.
Signal Buzzer - Loud probe mounted buzzer is normally used to signal drivers when they can leave.
Hydraulic Pump Timer - If the probe is not used for 5 minutes, the hydraulic pump will shut off automatically and restarts when one of the function buttons is pressed (up - down - left - right, etc.)
Underground remote probe (two truck lanes) installation with truck intercom system.
